Luxe kitchens
The kitchen is a very important room in a home. This is where you spend time cooking, entertaining and maybe eating, if you have an open kitchen. It is very important that you feel there's enough space for cooking, baking ect. But also that is it a space you that makes you feel good; a space you want to spend time. I like a kitchen to have a counter, where you can entertain while cooking. Again you see my love for whites, dark wood and steel. I feel it is very important that the kitchen looks clean, and whites and steel will do just that. If any color is put on the walls, let it be light colors, like grey or beige.

Zebra ottoman
I love a little zebra print in a room and a zebra ottoman is a great way to add the print to your living room or bedroom.
Decorating with wallpaper
Wallpaper can make a room feel glamourous, but only if you use wallpaper with big pattern or if it doesn't have too many colors. It has to fit into the colors of the room so it compliments the things you already have. These are a few picks of pictures of rooms, where I think it really works. I think key to using wallpaper is that is blends in with the other things in the room and doesn't stand out.
Modern bathrooms with a touch of luxe
Just as kitchens looks best with things stored away, keep the exhibition of personal care products to a minimum. Showing off to your loved ones just how many bottles of moisturizer and compacts of eyeshadow you've got is just not that interesting. It will also look really cluddered. Put all those things away for the eye to see. The bathroom is a place to get clean, so keep it looking that way. Instead decorate with a nice plant or seashells or scented candles.
I have really been into whites in the bathroom (and everywhere else), but I now like a more warm feel with browns and dark wood. I think it looks really great and comfy. You feel much better going in to a warm bathroom in the morning than in a cold one. It's not only about temperature, but the feel of the room.

Quality Maitrise Hotel Maida Vale in London
While in London I stayed at the Quality Maitrise Hotel. Very nice and modern hotel. I wanted to share these photos from my hotelroom.
The Ritz Restaurant in London and exiting news
I got home yesterday from a 3 day trip in London. While here I was invited out to dinner at the Ritz and my now "fiancee" popped the question. I was so exited. First we had a very delicious dinner and after dinner he got down on one knee holding a box with the most amazing diamond ring inside and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes! Can't wait to start my new life in London with him.
Here's pictures from the Ritz restaurant and my engagement ring:)

Exotic Plants
Green plants are a good way to soften the edges of a room. Even if you don't live somewhere exotic you can always add an exotic feel by having some exotic plants in your house. I only have exotic plants at home in forms of a banana palmtree and some orchids and other tropical plants. I love plants with full green leaves.
Bringing the beach inside
You can easily bring something to your home that doesn't have a cost anything. You can find beautiful stones and sheashells at the beach and bring them inside your home. I always like to have at least one piece of nature in form of seashells or a beautiful piece of coral in my rooms. It also looks great if you have a vase filled with sand and a candle or a vase filled with white or dark stones stacked together. In a room you have to combine items of different style or it will get really boring. Even if you like a minimalistic form of design you have to personalize it and bringing in seashells or other pieces of nature will do just that. Plus finding the perfect piece for your room by going to the beach, maybe with a loved one, will also make it something special and it will have some history and really mean something to you.
Stripes
Stripes are a way to add a classic feel to a room. Especially white and black striped carpets, pillows or even a sofa can add something special. I like it when the stripes aren't too narrow, because it will be too much for the eye. Stripes are not supposed to fill the room and make it look cluddered, but to make it all come together.
Entrance / foyer
Your entrance or foyer is the first room you enter in your home and it tells a lot about you and the entire interior design of your house. I think it is important to keep your entrance rather minimalistic with not too much going on. You can place a piece table and maybe some art or photographs on the walls (just remember to keep photos black and white or it will look cluddered), an orchid or another beautiful plant or cut flowers in a vase, but keep it simple and don't mix too many colors.

White floors
I just made a post about dark hardwood floors and so I also have to make one about white floors as I love white floors as well. I think that white floors goes best with white interior or black interior. It can make a space feel light and cool, while a dark wood floor make a space more cozy and warm. I love both. It's all about what to pair it with and what kind of feel you are going for.
Movie - The Holiday
And to another movie set...I'm in love with the design of "Cameron Diaz" apartment in The Holiday. Love the intire house and how it's decorated. There's a red thread through out the house; soft feel and earth tones. Bliss!
