 Blue is really one of those very classic colors. Especially this peacock/ royal blue. I like the glossy walls. Makes the space look very luxe.

 Add blue pillows to an all white room and it will instantly have a Mediteranian feel.

 Office space and bedroom all in one. The room is very airy and cool with the white and blue. The wood makes it more warm and inviting.

Blue in form of flowers and pillows. Looks great with the white and the wooden wall.

Under-bed-storage

 If you live in a small space or if you need some extra storage (who doesn't), this might be an idea for you. Under bed storage really is a cool way of keeping things organzied and away from the eye to see; less clutter = better sleep. I would keep my sheets and throws in there or maybe some of the clothes I don't wear at the moment. What do you think?

Decorating with candles

 I love candles and especially this time a year, when it's dark in the afternoon already I find them essential in my appartment. I love scented candles, especially in vanilla or white flower: something light and nice. 

 Candles in the bedroom adds some romance and a nice feel. Also loving candles in the bathroom.

 Tealights in small glasses are very decorative and give a nice light.

 I love the idea of putting big candles in a glass container. You could also add sand in the bottom.

Candlessticks in different forms put together with different types of candles gives a very romantic, vintage feel.

 Love different textures of candles. These are by Lene Bjerre. Love her collection of candles.

Minimalistic office space

I'm back...+ decorating with lacquered boxes

I haven't been blogging the last 11 days as my granddad was hospitalized with a stroke and problems with his lungs. We still don't know what is going to happen with him. If they can help him so that he can come home or not...We're praying and hoping for the best. I'm very close with my grandparents so I really haven't had any desire to be blogging lately. 

Just wanted to let you know why I've been MIA.

Today's posts is about lacquered boxes. I really love boxes around my home. They look beautiful and can store all the small nic nags you don't want to be showing. I especially like white ones with black frame as I'm into the black and white interior design. You can find lacquered boxes like these in a lot of shapes and colors. 

A pop of purple

Purple is one of those warm colors that can make a room look very luxe and cool. Purple really comes to its right, when paired with gold or yellow. Just look at the pictures, where there's yellow incorporated in the design; the purple pops. I love purple in small amounts in interior design and it's really easy to bring in the color in forms of pillows or flowers.

 I'm kind of loving this idea of having branches or manzanita trees as centerpieces. Looks really nice with crystals and glass lanterns hanging from there and flowers incorporated either on the branches or at the table around the foot of the vase. I'm pretty sure now that I will have branches with small lanterns and crystals and orchids or other white flowers as my centerpieces:)

Inspiration: Houndstooth print

 Houndstooth print is so in this season. It's elegant and timeless. I love the print on dresses, scarfs and tops, but it also looks really classy in interior design: Just look at these pictures.
